Trotlines: Who uses circle hooks?

    Just curious who all uses circles on their trots? What size,style and brand do you use?

    Wal-marts brand sea-circle or something like that. Eagle claws version not stainless but chrome coated come sharp out the box. 4/0 and 6/0 the hooks they have a heavy wire. I have used the 6/0 on limblines and the 4/0 on lines and jugs. If you are using cut bait or live bait they work good. If you are using catalpa worms, liver or as some people fish anything that might be bait
    the little fish will peck it off the hook without getting caught by accident.
    One last thing take pliers with you, when those hooks roll just right and catch one almost back to the eye you can't get it out with a knife or pliers.

    I used 6/0 kahle hooks on trotlines for a long time. I had good luck them.
    used cut bait and minnows threaded on. I thank you will like them.

    I use Gamakatsu circle's in 3/0 - 6/0.
