trotlineing help

    Check out the trot lines at wal mart.
    You will have to experiment with bait but
    The simplest bait is worms.
    As far as weight goes it all depends on how much weight it takes to keep it down. Lakes will be much different from rivers. Rivers will be different in places depending upon current.
    It might be best to go to the Ohio forum and ask about the particular water you are fishing.

    thats a broad question.but the hooks depend on fish size you expect to catch.a good all around hook would be a 5/0 circle.the bait depends on what your after,flats ,blues,or channels.live bream,shiners,cut bait, worms minnows,ect...i make my weights out of old window weights,to make different sizes just break'em with a sledge hammer.you could get better info. if you tell what your after,and where(river),(lake)and current.
