Trot Line Baits

    Im gonna run a trot line at a friends ranch in a creek, not really sure how deep, but i know theres some good sized channels/blues in there, but im not sure if theres flattys, but i wanna run a trot-line and i was wondering some good bait for channels, and mabe blues?

    The same baits used on rod and reel work on trotlines, in addition to soap, hot dogs, grass hoppers, worms, but by far, live perch in the 2 to 4 inch range. However, check your state regulations before using any fish as bait.

    yeah that sounds good, im putting em in a little back wash area of a creek, last time i went fishing there we caught 10 in about 1 and a half hours using minnows... well ill try that thanks!
