just wanted to know what u guys thought would be the best trolling motor for a 21ft pontoon boat???? we don't usually move around the lake a whole lot but it would be nice not to have to crank up the motor everytime!!!!

Minnkota and Motorguide are the two best, I prefer Motorguide, either one is great. For a pontoon boat i would say that you will need to look at 24volts system, and get the biggest lbs thrust you can afford. You will need the 24 volts because a pontoon is bigger and heavier then a fishing boat, and the more lbs thrust the more it can move the pontoon especially in windy /choppy conditions.

Also before you even start to look, find where you will mount it on your pontoon and then measure down to the water line. Do that so you know you don't get a shaft to short. I think my shaft goes about a at least a foot into the water. Then you know where to start from their.
