I have a friend that likes trolling for sandies and has invited me to go this weekend.I was wondering what to use to try to land a better catch than sandbait/bass?jig or cut bait?

I would say the speed used for trolling is probably not optimal for catching catfish. At slower speeds you could drift cutbait for blues but I think the speed used for trolling for sandbass might be a bit too fast.

I was thinking the same thing but I thought I would ask. However I have checked other threads and some guys do catch cat on sassy shad and white deepdiving cranks-I'm gonna give that a try.If nothing else I'll catch a striper and they put up a good fight.
