After a failed attempt at shellcracker, we hit a spot known for early season channels. In a couple of hours we caught 13 channels ranging from 1 to 4 pounds. All were caught on nightcrawlers under a float from 1.5 to 2' deep in about 4 feet of water. The key was a rocky shoreline. Water temp is 74 degrees.

All were kept and cleaned for a fish fry TBD.
