Here's a pic of a 38lb flat head I caught Friday on a rod and reel. I caught him on a 3" perch in about 25' of water in a log jam. I best before this was a 18lb one I caught about 5 years ago. I catch lot's this size on lines but was very proud to land a fish this size on a pole and line. It took about 10 minutes to land him, I had to chase him down river in the swift current with the trolling motor. I boated him a 5:30 in the afternoon.

Thanks everybody! I caught him south of Liberty, Texas. The river has changed so much due to all the flooding we have had over the past year. I'm mapping all the good spots on the old GPS as I go. I'm ready to go back again next weekend!!
