Treble hooks for channel catfish

    what # trebels do some of use for channels??

    I think it depends on the type of bait you are using? I use #4 and #2. I have also found the quality and sturdiness of the hook makes a difference. We use to burn through hooks using Sure Shot punch bait and removing with pliers. Switched to a stronger hook and they stay sharp longer and dont break as easy.

    ive never used treble hooks i use 8/0 gama otopus circle hooks for channels and swear to them but i would guess maybe since trebles are big maybe a 4/0 would work hope this helps

    When I'm using Sonny's stink bait I use #6 treble hooks in my stink bait worms. That's really the only time I use treble hooks. Hope this helps you out.

    When I fish with sonnys I use a numder 4 or 6.Works good for me

    #4 or #6 if using stink/dip bait. A bit larger for livers.
