I caught 5 toms in a pig trap one time. While I was walking around the trap lookin' at them and getting ready to open the door, those birds were beating the living crap out of each other. It was kinda funny. They'd get all excited and scared and just flog the heck out the other turkeys. We opened the door and they found it right away and were gone. Turkeys are pretty smart birds.

BTW, you'd better look hard at your game laws. I seriously doubt that trapping a turkey would be within the law in your state. If it is though, good luck. Sounds fun.

Well I've read how to do it.
I've never tried it.--repeat-- I've never tried it.
Has to do with digging a shallow sloping trench covereing the deep end with boards and the deep end slightly open. Enough for their heads to stick out.
Bait with a trail of corn leading into the trench.
    Thats it.
