Recently I purchased a bait trap and I have done well using fresh mackeral and anchovies. I was just curious of what people generally use to catch their bait. And what works to attract different types of fish, crayfish etc.
    Thanks, Ron

Dry dog food works pretty good.
    Some use bread.
Both will catch most anything we have in our creeks.
    have a good one

Cast netting would be great! but I believe they are a NO NO in California from what I understand. I'm fairly new to Cali. and her laws. Although my local bait shop started selling them not to long ago.
I will try the dog food and see what happens. Thanks!!

Ive trapped crawdads before and used bacon.Worked good when the bugs were crawlin.Ive seen different cages for the craws and the gills.I use the cylinder ones for cawdads.
