There is a hole in the creek below my house where I catch bait, When I throw a cast net there I catch mostly chubs, with some shiners and a few sunfish. Also almost every rock has a bullhead under it.
I made a trap according to the thread in the library (Sam's bluegill trap) and assumed it would catch about the same mix of fish and hoped for a good # of bullheads. I poked some holes in a can of sardines and droped it in the bait holder and left it from 6:30 PM till 9:00 AM and it contained three bullheads, two chubs and 115-120 sunfish.
Sorry so long winded, my question is does anybody know a bait that would put more bullheads and chubs in the trap?

dry dog food. Is what I've been hearing. The kind that makes it's own gravy is said to be the better choice.
