I bought a hummingbird for my boat. I didn't want to drill any holes and a friend recommended a trolling motor mount for it. Has anyone tried one and if so how did it work? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

A trolling motor mount would work, but you need to ask yourself what are you wanting to accomplish. If your gonna run the prime motor and check structure, you probably want the transducer at the rear of the boat. You can purchase aluminum mounts for transducers that clamp to the boat, and the transducer is mounted on the bracket. I can understand not wanting to put holes in the boat, but with all the modern silicones sealers, its sort of a mute point. It's not gonna leak.
