The Virtual Fly Casting website is one of the best fly casting sites on the Internet. Operated by certified and master level FFF casting instructors, Virtual Fly Casting is a great resource for both beginning and seasoned casters. For those just starting out, VFC goes through the five essentials (principles) of fly casting. Each "essential" has a corresponding animated demonstration. Very helpful. Experienced casters interested in becoming FFF certified can view short video clips, with explanation, on the 17 different casts one will complete for the Performance Test. These are even helpful for beginners who can watch the various casts being executed beautifully. Additional clips are also available for the Teaching and Demonstrating exam.

One of the really cool parts about VFC is the Casting Pond (a forum) where you can discuss and ask questions about any aspect of fly casting. There are some pretty heavy hitters who frequent those boards.

Anybody who's interested, please check it out. You'll definitely like it.

Yes, it's a comprehensive website, but it's better digested in smaller, more manageable bits as one gets better at casting. Awesome online reference that can't be replicated by a book.
