Today I had one of the trailer bunk board break at the center mount and the rear half fell off. ,, Rotten,,, I am planning to go get 2 new pressure treated 2x4's and replace the bunks tomorrow. Is regular treated 2x4's the same as the wood that comes on these trailers, or the bunks you buy from BPS and others a different kind or treatment in the wood. Also would regular carpet last very long on bunks??

John, I wouldn't recomend regular carpet but it will hold for awhile. The treated 2x4's will last longer than the original. If I was told right it's actually illegal for the companys to use pressure treated lumber on boat trailers so they use untreated. IF that's true then it's probably illegal for us to use as well but that's what I use.

I would use just plain old pine boards. Your boat looks like aluminum, which likes to react and corrode with PT lumber. I know you will be putting carpet on it, but i wouldn't want to risk some of that treatment leeching thru the carpet and my boat sitting on it for long periods of time. You could always thompson water seal it, or go with some cedar or something naturally rot resistant. Regular carpet should work, but i wouldn't think it would last very long.

Couple of pieces of white oak would last a long long time.

Something to keep in mind. Bunk wood only gets wet when you dunk it. It's not like it stays wet, however, carpet keeps it wet longer.
