I was wondering if anyone has ever built there own bow guide for your trailer. It took me 10 mins. to get my boat back on the trailer. My buddie backing the trailer up not centered didnt help.I have the 2" PVC pipes already which are both 5ft in lenght. What else do i need?Also...is it a good idea to mount the lights on the PVC or is it illegal?

You probably need to not back your trailer so far into the water. That and a little more practice.

Another set of guides four to five feet in front of the rear ones will help keep it centered on the trailer. When you put them on, put them with only about 1/2 to 1 inch spacing from the side of your boat... once it is on the trailer, this second set will help keep it lined up with your rollers or bunks.
