Tower of Power-RIP

    My 115 tower of power bit the dust, not sure what happened, but it chewed up the inside of the motor. This is what I found in the #6 cylinder.

    Looks like it wasn't getting any lubrication for awhile?

    An over heat problem will cause that and also a lean condition on the carb will cause that. Those old towerpower in line merc were very finicky. that is why it so t to check the plugs at a regular interval and do a spark and compression test and also change the water pump out on a regular basis's.

    Thanks Bubba, it had a new impeller and housing, like I said not sure what the cause was, but it's been pulled off the boat, looking at repowering with something a little newer.
