Tornado and lightning picture

    Family sent me this picture. It was supposed to be taken
    south of Ft. Stockton, Texas at the Sandridge drilling site. Located just outside of town.

    Wow,Dayton,That was a great pic. Thanks so much for sharing with us. I worked in Alpine for several monthe. No twisters ,But lots of lightning and close like in that pic.

    In a real photo the lightning would have lit up the oil derrick too....

    Brilliant photography! Even if it was enhanced! ( amateur photographer here that hasn't fooled with it in a few years)

    You don't get a chance at many shots like that...very difficult to get and to get close enough to in weather like that!!!! Gosh I loved looking at that one!

    yeah if that wont make you make a load i dont know what would !:smile2:

    just think if the lightning was the only thing that revealed the twister
    would have been way too late .

    any word on how that platform fared after that dayton?
    had to have done some damage.
