for all you dip bait catfishermen your hands get really stinky. I herd that if you rub your hands with toothpaste and the smell is elimenated. i just wanted to see what you other brothers or sisters think.

Paste works better than gel in my experience. Wash your hands first with soap and water, then squeeze out an inch or so of toothpaste and scrub furiously. It'll get rid of most of the smell if not all of it.

I have used toothpaste to try and get rid of the smell of cut shad and shad guts, it helped some but only time will completely get rid of the smell.

Johnson's Baby Bath is the best I've used. I'm gonna try the baby wipes that's a new one for me.

I've tried toothpaste, gasoline, mustard, and just about every type of soap imaginable. It seems like strong smelling & gritty soap works the best. I like the orange flavored lava the best..... but usually I use my wife's lemony smelling gritty handsoap she keeps by the sink, just 'cause it's always close. It works pretty well also.

Don't use dip bait, personally. But, when I had hogs and literally worked in their crap, toothpaste is what done the trick for me. And if it can get rid of the hog smell, then it can get rid of ANY smell...just my opinion.

  17. Baby wipes are the number one most used product by military over in Iraq. I went through so many of those things while I was over there I could have been a spokesperson.

My husband swears by the toothpaste. It seems to work. I know it works to get onion smell off your hands.
