We can't even get on the river, so we loaded up our stuff and headed to the Lower lllinois. We tore the Stripers up! If you're close enough to drive over, you need to go. From 2:00pm - 8:00pm, 3 boats, and over 100 stripers from 6 lbs - 24 lbs. We had action from the time we got there until we left. It has been like this for 2 weeks too. These suckers fight so hard, I went hope and dreamed about it last night. Grab up your catfish rods, cut the weights off, tie your hook back on, hook a good live shad through the snout, let him free swim and HANG ON! Bait will be easy to catch as well. There are shad everywhere.
So guys, go have a blast. Don't tell the locals I sent you.

If you catch a wall hanger, give me call.:tounge_out:

Just like cleaning a cat. If you'll cut the dark meat off, it'll make for a great fish fry. Good luck to you.

The river is falling but the current is still very strong. I hope to get on the river by the middle of Aug.
