Yesterday my oldest son Austin and I made the trip to TN for a few hours of cattin'. We were at the last spot of the day when the drag on a pole in the back went to whinin' like crazy. It was on a "big" pole that I brought for Austin to throw and wind, and it had a Zebco 888 w/ 25 lb. line and a 4/0 circle hook on it. He let Daddy have this one since he caught some nice flatheads earlier and he was gettin' tired. The fish turned out to be a 66 lb. blue and the fight was amazing on the smaller tackle than I'm used to. I don't know if I want to try it again though. I was fortunate to get the fish in after about a 30 min. fight. Austin helped net the fish and took some great pics too. All total we ended up catching 6 cats, 3 blues and 3 flats, all on cut bait and water temps are around 58 degrees. We had a great time and we've got another great fish story to tell too. Here is a pic of the big blue, and couple of my fishin' buddy Austin and his flatheads . Good luck fishin'!
