I have tried everything to keep the squirrels out of my bird feeders but nothing seems to work. They get in them and eat just the sunflower seeds and throw the rest onto the ground.Until today!!!

Found out that a paintball smacked into their little body's will send them to the top of the trees.Barking like crazy and looking a little funny with read-blue-green paint all over them.

I found a new sport....Dont worry I have already had one show back up after he was hit with a bright red paint ball.

I think I will have the best looking squirrels around in about a week. They look like they are dressed for Christmas.....:smile2::smile2:

The trouble with shooting squirrels is usually the town's ordinances
where you live. There is a law which I believe is still on the books in
Topeka dating back to the 1890s(Yes, the Gay Ninetys) that specifically
forbids "molesting squirrels". Technically, they could arrest you for harsh
language directed at the above mentioned tree rats. Using a paintball
gun might be acceptable unless someone complains about the
psychodelic squirrels running around the neighborhood. The safe
answer might be "what psychodelic squirrels are you talking about and
is that wierdly shaped vase in your frontroom responsible for your
altered perceptions, sir...." Kick back and watch the fur fly.

Michael, you, and only you, could/would post a reply like this:smile2: Where'n hell did you find a law like that one:roll_eyes:
The only two words I could find fault with were: plychodelic(should be psychedelic, and wierdly (should be weirdly), other than that, you done good boy:roll_eyes::smile2::smile2::smile2::smile2: Oh, I won't mention that ninetys, should have had an apostrophe as in ninety's:wink::smile2::smile2::smile2:

They make a seed that is squirrel proof. If is laced with red chili pepper. Birds do not get the "burning" sensation in their mouth from eating spicy things, but squirrels do .

If you want to treat the bird food you have now, just mix some cayenne or red pepper in it. If the squirrels come back for more, add more pepper until you find out how much you need to keep the squirrels out of it.

Get a Live Trap and Relocate them. I've found though that trapped squirrels develop lead poisoning or go into respiratory failure. If this becomes the case, it makes the relocation location much closer, just a little deeper....:eek:oooh:

i like the squirlapolt...:smile2::smile2::smile2:....if you can't beat them, then a few flying squirrels will at least make it worth the seeds they are stealing...

I had a problem with squirrels getting into my boat shed.I kept finding nut hulls inside my bass boat under the cover. I couldn't put out poison or traps because of Roy Williams the wonder dog.Cabela's had pellet guns on sale for 89.95.It's 1250 fps and has a scope. It will definitely stop a tree rat dead in its tracks and it's killed a raccon 2 possums and about a dozen squirrels. Don't think JR's Red Ryder would get the job done it's only 350 FPS.
