I'm wanting to go fishing tomorrow, probably in the Ohio and I can't stop anywhere and get any bait. Is there anything around the house i can use for bait for channels?

I've here of using things like sausage, spam, whetties covered in peanut butter, sweet corn, and bread balls. Preaty much anything messy and stinky they will eat. I only have experiance with using shrimp and they work great. If you have any in your fridge, your in luck, but make sure there uncooked! I think all of these baits will work well with the standered slpi-rig. Well good luck and let us know how you do!

Livers and worms are some of the best baits for channels.

If you lay your liver out in the sun on a plastic tray for a couple hours and then go and turn it and leave it out another couple hours it will toughin up your liver and stay on the hook better
