While not a personal best, it is my #3 all time fish. A 42 pound blue caught four minutes before quiting time in rain and terrible fog. The fog was so thick I would still be out there if not for the GPS on my sonar unit.

Sunny at sunrise and raining by noon. POURING by 1:00pm!! The weather can change fast. Luckily the barometer remained fairly steady and the bite remained steady all day too. 28 total fish. Four 13 pound fish, a 14, 16, and 17 marked the bigger ones. Great day fishing.

A "shout out" to Capt. Rodger Taylor and Capt. Chris Simpson for some critical information that made this catch possible.

I gotta say Dieter has come into his own now--he tells me where they are as much as I tell him but thanks just the same for the kind words my friend!

I heard him and Flopeye paddled a canoe across Stumpy Pond and hiked a trail for 3 miles to the back of it and caught him. Kept him alive in a rubbermaid container until they got out to get some pics.
