Tightening rivets

    has anybody used a little air chipping gun with a recessed tip tp tighten the rivets in a jon boat?

    No but 2 shop hammers and a little tap works good.
    Place one shop hammer on the head and the other one hit the rivet and it will tighten it up.

    I haven't used it on a boat specifically, but used the same setup replaceing panels on semi trailers. You would want to back the rivet up with a block of steel ormaybe a hammer.

    YEP i was going to have my b-i-l under the boat with a dolly or hammer head with me inside with the gun,up one row and down the next.
