    great post AJ

sikk have you tried the shockleader knot? its simple tie n overhand knot in your mono but don't pull it tight. next pass your braid through the knot and tie a 9-12 turn uni knot on the mono.now tighten the uni knot first then the overhand knot and pull them together make sure both knots are tight and won't slip then trim them as close as possibible.

nothing against the uni to uni but here is the potential problem with that knot if you're using say 50lb mono thats a pretty big knot and that knot is going to be going throught your guides at roughly 80-120mph thats the equivilant to shooting a bb through your guides. over time that big knot is going to crack a guide or 2 now not that the knot i suggested can't do any damage because it can however its a smaller knot. hope this helps

I agree it's every bit as strong as a uni to uni only smaller.
I use it and it works great
