Anyone had this happen? I found a spot right in front of the dorsal fin that if you hook them there they absolutely spazz out, and best of all they live for a long time.

It's like it hits a nerve or something. Did it for all of them I tried too. I was using a #4 treble hook, hooking one hook right in front of the dorsal fin and not too deep. I've fished with them for years and they die if you look at them wrong...I've tried hooking them every way from nose, tail, ect but I think I'm onto something here.

Their tail starts swinging hard putting off great vibrations and they live for a good long while on the hook. I was very surprised to say the least... Caught a couple of channels under a cork doing this too.

If I net some during my upcoming trip I'll take a video with my phone.
