Heres a few things I found at the beach this morning.

    An assortment of sinkers,
    6 quarters,
    2 dimes,
    2 nickels,
    17 pennies,
A pair of dangly ear rings,
    And a .925 Silver ring w/ a surf design.

Yesterday a friend of mine found an 18k gold wedding ring set w/1 karat diamond, marque cut, and 24 smaller diamonds. There's one heart broken lady out there some where.

It'll get returned if she comes looking for it through lost and found ads in the local paper or how ever she wants to try and identify it.

Forgot to mention that someone out there is now without their zipper pull thingy. If you can identify it, it's yours. Sure hope they didn't have to pee in a hurry.

    Uh, they are lead sinkers

Thanks for the total Catgirl, now you can put your shoes back on.

Put some trebles on the ends of those ear rings and I gaurantee they'll catch fish.

George, it is a hoot. Got a new toy coming that sounds off differently to different things. Got to learn a whole new language. A better machine for salt water.

I'll have a review on the Minelab Sovereign GT soon.

Cool find, I have been thinking about getting a metal detector myself and searching some nearby Civil war battlegrounds.

Here's a few finds from this mornings walk on the beach.

I'm using a Minelab Sovereign GT for the first time and I was able to get a couple of first time finds because of it.

My White MXT didn't have the sensitivity to pick up on things as fine as fish hooks and bobby pins. Those were a first for me.

Another first was do to just luck. A Mickey Mouse quartz wrist watch by Pulsar, that's still working.

I have no idea what that wire thing is with the blackened knots. Thought about hitting them with a hammer just to see what's inside them. The wire in it is needle sharp at both ends

As usual, I picked up some trash and coins too.

  19. I need to get my self a metal detector. with all the beaches in california I am sure to find some really nice things. One thing I learned while in Iraq, it is very easy to hide an entire military under one inch of sand. So imagine what you could find.

There's alot of folks hunting the Ca beaches and doing well at it.

Don't be tricked into any of those turn on and go detectors for serious hunting. From all i've found out, Minelab makes some of the best, but it's a learning process if you want the good stuff. They all coin shoot.
