Yeah, I heard about that not too long ago...that's awesome, I haven't caught a freshwater drum in NC yet. My biggest back in Iowa was around 10 lbs.
nice drumfish! My pb sheepshead was 30" 10pound on crayfish. It's rough fighter!:cool2:
Those of us that are from NC are familiar with drum. The red drum is even our state saltwater fish. Dont know nuthin bout yalls freshwater drum.

Fresh water drum, sheaphead, goo-fish. They have local names. No resemblance to salt water sheaphead.
Here's some pictures of a few Mississippi River Drum caught pulling crankbaits along the riprap. Had a blast, they fight hard, especially the big ones. Third picture I helping my grandson hold up a small one. First time trying attaching pictures, hope it turns out.
nice looking fish... biggest one i have caught was from the ohio river on shad.. and it weighed around 10-12 lbs
Opps, first picture was suppose to my big drum, instead turned up my daughter. Try this again for the big drum.
I haven`t caught one in a while they are fun to catch they are called gasa goo in ms they will get under a boat in the summer and grunt sounds funny:big_smile:
