I just checked the National Weather Service web site for the Memphis office. I was looking at today's forcast and while there, decided to check the river levels and forcast levels. The Black River (where I fish most of the time) was at 14ft day before yesterday. Today it's 9.7 and forcast is for it to be at 3 ft by Monday. That is a very fast fall and none to soon as far as I'm concerned. Flood stage on the Black is 14ft. The fishing is best when the river is below 3ft at Black Rock.

    OK
the water is going down on the east side of the state. There are small towns going down stream in the Fort Smith area. I watched a dredge barge yesterday on the AR River. They had 2 tug boats holding it in place, and another holding the sand barge in place. I can already hear it. The price of sand is going up!
