Big Game mono in solar collector so I can see the line for all conditions. 20 - 25 lbs
Trilene XL 6 lb clear mono for bait fish.

40 to 50 lb braid in yellow for long cast and in heavy current.
I don't really like braid but use it for those conditions.

Big Game clear or solar collector leaders for all fish and conditions. 15- 30 lbs

Offshore Angler Tight Line mono in yellow has worked out well for me in 2019. I used 20 lbs

I mostly catch channels and smallies out of the river.

I have kastking 30 lb braid on most of my catfish reels except my 2 new reels I have 25 lb braid by godline. Both hi vis yellow.

On my ultra lite trout and walleye rig I have 20 lb braid by power pro in moss green.
I have wanted to try kastking, how does it compare to godline?

What brand braid do you use for long casting? I've been wanting to try some new lines out for long cast.

I can't compare since I just got the godline a week ago and haven't had a chance to fish with it yet. I won't be able to until March. But as far as channel cat fishing the kastking has done well it fades a bit like every brand I've tried but it's still got some yellow to it. It hasn't frayed or broken off on me. The only reason I bought the godline is Amazon had a 1074 yards for $18 in the 25lb so I thought why not try it. Some of the other line were more this was a clearance I think.

I am a braid guy. River I primarily fish is close quarters and very snaggy. I fish 100lb power pro main line then using a 200lb test barrel swivel I attach an 18 inch mono leader 80lb test. Breaking off of a snag is a chore, but I can lock down my drag and get a 40lb flathead away from the log jams.

This past year I switched to 30lb braid for my catfishing set ups but I don't remember what brand. I think it was Spider Wire. All my mono is Berkley Trilene XT lo-vis green
