i have bean fishing the snake river for 2 months now and it is finally cat season.
the bull head have bean biting for 3 weeks now. and the flat head are finally hitting hard in the last week. one 21 inch and a 28 inch. not as big as i hoped for but it is still early. the water is very high do to spring runoff, and they are letting a lot of water out of the dams but the cats are very hungry after this winter and biting on worms and cut bait, trout and wight fish. if you can get down out of the currant it should be good.
soon they will be spawning and it will not be as easy to hook one in 3 min but if you find the right spots it is off the hook.... and soon the channel cats will be biting and after that it is open season for the rest of the summer.
good luck to all and to all a good fight.
    Brian.
