Ok, talk to me, my fellow channel catfisherman, on why I'm getting this FDA and OSHA crap-o-la pushed at me when I ask local kill plants for chicken or beef blood? They proclaim that the FDA and OSHA will now allow me to take blood from them anymore! I think it's time I called my congressman... oh man, can't do that, she just attended a PETA (People for the Eating of Tasty Animals) meeting lately and probably won't hear my cries in the wilderness of South Dakota.

Iowa and Minnesota catmen (and women), lend me your ear!

How is the blood used? Is the bait dipped in blood?

If you do a Google search for 'blood bait' and 'recipe' you will find two or three methods of making blood bait.

Try to find someone who does a lot of butchering on their own. My grandfathers buddy owns a farm and runs a guiding service. I get all the blood i need!
