Anyone interested in a fun thread for this season? Was thinking we could have a "Grand Slam" thread. It would consist of a picture of each catch, and include 5 plus pound channel cat, 10 plus pound flathead, and a 10 plus pound carp all in one trip!:smile2: I was gonna say blues, but many of us here don't have them in our river systems! I think it would be alot of fun, and alot of fun ribbing at each other as well! Anyone interested? rollo

To keep it within BOC rules, maybe we shouldn't put a weight minimum on anything. That would rid any competiton or contest.. So lets just say, a channel cat, a flathead, and a carp! Can't wait to see the pictures in this one!:smile2: rollo

Heck ya Marc, everyone can join in from all over!!!!

Buckeye, Dillon or Alum with an occasional trip to the Mighty Musk (thats rare tho) even rarer is the Ohio.

However that being said this year at Salt Fork I plan on catching a decent size (over 10lbs)

Dont bother me a bit LOL, I caught a 10lb Channel at Alum Creek (probably 10 years ago) using a couple of worms. I had never used cut bait or live prior to that. My biggest Flat is 7.5lbs (that one I actually brought to the boat), I did catch a bigger one than that but I lost it at the bank so I dont know how big it was it was bigger than the 7.5 one tho but not huge as far as I could tell.

HOW DO YOU FIGURE THE CARP DANAGE A LAKE OR RIVER???
I HAVE CARP IN MY POND AND THERE IS NO MUDDY WATER AND I ALSO HAVE A REAL GOOD BASS,BLUEGILL,CATFISH,POPULATION. SO WHAT IS IT THAT MAKES THEM BAD FISH??
THEY ARE ONE HELL OF A FIGHTING FISH JUST LIKE THE CATS ARE.
JUST WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY THEY ARE SUCH A BAD FISH.

Ok, here it goes... I will start a seperate thread (The Grand Slam Photo Thread) All fish must be caught on rod and reel.. No bows, spears, shotguns etc. LOL.. Simply make a post with a picture of your channel cat, flathead, and carp.. To make this pure fun, we won't put any length or weight minimums on it.. Just one of each fish in an outting gets ya a grandslam... Everyone can participate, no matter what state your from... Goodluck, this outta be fun, especially them big lipped fish!:smile2: rollo
