    Check out this news article. Coon the other dark meat. Even gives
    a recipe! Brings back memories of when I was a boy our FFA hosted
    a Coon BBQ with trimmings. Several of us had coon dogs and caught them. Was delicious, we drew a crowd and had a ball!

    Grandma use to fix coon. Had to boil it down a few times to get the grease out enough to make shredded barbecue coon sandwiches. I always made sure I got my share. Country boys will never starve.

    One of the best BBQ meals I ever ate was a coon,Good stuff.

    Jerry,It must be,Cause I caught a lil beaver once,bout 25 lbs ,I put it on a shelf after dressing ,while I tended to the hide,My old Tomcat ate the WHOLE THING while I was fleshing and streaching that darn hide:wink::smile2:
