Thats cool, I enjoy it when they come by out there. Many times the deer will come down next to you near the marina for a drink of water thats kinda neat sometimes.

One time while fishing crooked river near hardin. I had a sasquatch follow me down to my fishing spot. I took some pictures as he stood there watching me set up. 30 minutes later I caught a channel and he came up next to me. We shared a little moment and I let him have the fish he was wanting. I don't know if he found a tag, but he had one that said Harry on it. So I just started calling him Harry and he acted like he knew that name. I got a nice hit on my other pole, but darnit! the fish came off the hook. Seemed like a real nice one. So as harry looked at me bummed that I didn't get that fish. I opened up my bait cooler chocked full of fresh shad to re-bait my pole. I then casted out, set my rod down and when I turned back. Harry had a shad hanging half out of his mouth as his mouth was stuffed full of my fresh caught shad:angry: All that work I put in to get those things and no more bait period. I HAD TO PUNCH HARRY IN THE MOUTH!!!
He took off with loud whiney roars and so without any more bait I had to call it a night.

In those pictures I took. I showed up really well, but Harry was all blury, depixelized and grainy for some reason :tounge_out: <lol>

don't ask why i know but: Ailurophobia - the fear of cats and orinthophobia - is the irrational fear of a bird. just something I've picked up in my psychology classes.

What i want to know is how ducks can swim all around your fishing line and not get tangled in it.

I'm with you. I can't stand them. Was attacked by a couple out on a golf green in Grain Valley several years ago. All I had to protect myself was a putter. Believe it or not, a putter is a highly effective self defense tool.

You should have fed them. They probably have placed a spell on you and you may never catch another fish.:big_smile:

Seems raysplay and i always have some kind of critter come by for a visit while we are fishing. From coons at night that really are just checking to see if Dh left fish laying by the dam, to a flock of geese that always makes at least a splash or two to say hay this is my lake too. To one goose that the community help fix a broke leg that is the most passive bird i have ever seen. She had to have her leg cut off by the vet but you would never know it. She is the calmest thing ever. She will walk behind ya around four feet back and follow ya to see if ya might have a treat. She didn't even snatch the bread as most did. Then of course the 100's of squirrels and such we have seen at camp robinson. The start coming out real good close to dark. if you are real lucky you can see three or four does too. Nothing better than nature
