The Great Pee Dee

2075 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  catfishGANGSTER
When i was living in NC i used to go to the Pee Dee in Rockingham all the time. I have since moved across the state line into SC. I know the Great Pee Dee runs through the southern part of Marlboro County but i can not find any places to fish. I dont have a boat at the moment, but if anyone could tell me where in or very near to Marlboro County there is public access to the Great Pee Dee that would be great. Thanks for any help you could give me.

I'll see what I can find for ya. I know people all over the state that might can tell me somewhere.
Thanks..I have emailed the gaming commission and the Marlboro County wildlife but they didnt know either.
CatfishGanster, this is from the DNR website Boating Facilities Guide , don't know if it will help or not. If Marlboro county has a parks & Recreation dept., maybe they can help, too. Another option is to locate and visit local tackle or sporting goods stores and talk with people coming through.

Hello catfishGANGSTER,
Hwy SC34 crosses the Big Pee Dee fairly close to you. There is a nice landing there with plenty of room to fish.It is the back way between Florence and Dillon.I don't know precisely where you are located but it probably be a scenic ride down secoundary roads.Probably could get some good info. from others around landing. This is a nice cement landing with good parking.
good luck,
Albert
