    Guys:

That is a very Common hook used in Alaska for fishing for halibut. They bait them with squid or herring and fish them on the bottom. I have used a bunch of them before. I think you can get them bigger than that up there.

Personally I like bale hooks. They, if you can find them, will not straighten out. Nice picture- that 10$ bill would prob. buy you one of them.

I agree. That is a nice sized hook! :smile2:
I have a 20/0 Treble hook I keep around for certain "work" on the water and all.
I have a few of those 16/0 Circles too along with a couple of the Gamakatsu 12/0 Bait Hooks that I just LOVE to use when going after Trophy Blues!
Good Catches to All this year! :smile2:
Finally, be sure to wear your "PRO" {PROtection} when out on the water!!! I would be very, VERY, Sad to hear one of my Brother's or Sisters was lost and could not be found because they were in a mishap and did not have a vest on at least!
    Fraternally,

Yeah, but with a hook that size you don't need to use a sinker.

I catch bait on hooks that size. When you step up to the big leagues, you'll use a hook like the one below...
