Can you really trust the clinch knot? it seems like it just comes loose way too easy especially if your fishing in fast current like i do.

Ive never had any problems with it. I have used it for years in fast streams, slow moving streams and river, and lakes.

Palomar only. Use it, and you'll never use another one again.

I grew up with the clinch knot (improved) and don't remember having problems, but that was a long time ago and only small diameter mono. Since then, and especially since I switched to braid, the palomar is the one I feel most comfortable with, and the way I see it, yo gotta be comfortable with what you are using, as confiidence can go a long way.

yeah ive became a lot more fond of the palomar knot lately. it just seems a whole lot stronger than the clinch knot.
