Welcome to the site Corey! I'm from Cali, so I can't help you on the fishing, but I'm sure you will meet some locals that can help you out. Good luck!

Corey, it is the diversion canal that you are referring to. There is enough water to launch at Hills or Canal Lakes. Both ramps are in good shape but if you launch you must be aware that there are dangerous areas leaving the canal entering Lake Moultrie as well as leaving the upper end of the canal onto Lake Marion. There are shallow areas on both ends. Good luck and be safe - life jackets are your best friend on the water but especially this time of year.
