the blow out

    hey has anyone fished the blow out where the santee river dumps into the lake near pax. i was going to head down friday night and sit in the cypress trees and wait for the feeding.

    That area is really shallow, but sometimes the catfish will move in there and feed on mussels and other bait that is washed in by the current. It's kind of hit and miss, though. They're either there, or not. Lots of logs on the bottom, but you might try anchoring and fan out lines around the boat, especially at night.
