I use Berkley Big Game. I also like the solar color. I don't see as well as I used too and the solar makes a big difference. I choose the pound test according to the fish I'm after.:0a26: :0a18:

Nothing but Cajun Red Advantage by Shakespeare.......I used to use Berkley Big Game but the endurance just wasnt there and I had to re-spool it often and when you are spooling 12 reels at a time, this gets expensive. I use what works best for me in the conditions I fish and this is some very tough line. I hear the Yozuri line is very good and when I am no longer satisfied with the results of the Cajun line, I will try this......but for now its Cajun Red.

Yo-Zuri 30# is a VERY tough line that handles well.

I use nothing but Ande Tournament line now. I realized that if I ever hung a line class record that most of the lines will overtest their rating and disqualify my application, and sure enough I set one of the IGFA's world line class records! The rating of the line is determined by how open the water is and how long you want to fight a fish. In open water, I have landed a 37 lb blue on 4 lb test (about an hour) and a 77 lb blue on 20 lb (it took a little longer). I have also fought VERY large blues on 4 lb test for 4 to 6 hours (trying for another world record), even had them up to the boat, but I usually fish alone and so far I have always managed to do something foolish and broke them off before getting the net under them. Hope this helps! Good fishing!

Sufix all the way, 20 or 25 pound in neon tang' Siege and or Hi-Vis yellow Elite... I have a photo of a 65 barge rope that was oil soaked and wet from laying on the bottom of the Ohio river for lord knows how long... We weighed it and it was if I remember right around 125 to 130 pounds... And he brought it in on 20 pound Sufix Elite ..!
