    thanks again for the welcome,now i have a question for all u veterans out there, is it a waist of time too pursue the flatties in western pa in the winter months? i have been fishing them nearly 5 yrs now and have never heard of anyone going in winter.sugestions,or am i just crazy for even thinkin bout it...lol thanks tom

    Fishing for Flats can be good in the winter if you can find a wintering hole. I am going tonight.

    I agree. They just don't move around during the winter.

    seems that once the water drops below 50 degs. the flattys pretty much get lock jaw and aren't on the move, they will feed if you can get some bait right in front of their face:sad2:
