TEXAS IS ASKING FOR INPUT REGARDING THE REGULATION OF ALLIGATOR GAR .YOU CAN GO TO
THIER WEBSITE AND VOTE IF YOU WISH.I
SUPPORT SOME KIND OF LIMIT BUT I DONT
FEEL ANY ONE SHOULD BE EXCLUDED FROM HARVESTING THEM . i THINK ANY METHOD IS ACCEPTABLE TO ME AS LONG AS ALL LAWS ARE OBEYED AND A LIMIT IS IN PLACE.
    GIVE ME YOUR OPINION

The only thing I can possibly even think of to object to is the manner in which they are caught. Of course, if it is bow and arrow, a gig, or shot with a handgun/rifle, there is not much use in turning one loose. If caught with a frayed nylon rope, how in the world do you get that nylon out of its teeth to turn it loose? If you just cut the line and let the fish go,you may as well throw it on the bank as it is not going to be able to eat again. Seems like just about any way one is caught, it all ready has the death sentence passed.
