If anyone is new to this area or unfamiliar with some of the lakes, Sportsman's Connection offers some good books of maps. The state is broken up into three sections--West TN, Middle TN, and East TN. And each book goes into great detail about each reservoir, the date of impoundment, primary fish species, fishing tips, accomodations, stocking dates, etc. One thing I've found particularly usefil is the fishing tips, it tells you when to fish what part of the lake for particular species, even to the point of the best baits whether it be artificial or live. Plenty of photos of lucky fishermen. I bought the East TN Fishing Map Guide, it's normally $24.95 but it was marked down to about $20.99 during a sale.

I don't know if this message board will allow me to post the URL, but I'll try: http://www.sportsmansconnection.com/tennessee/fishingbooks/

If that doesn't work, just Google SPORTSMAN'S CONNECTION TENNESSEE FISHING MAP GUIDE
