Bejamin Franklin said "The only two certain things in life are death and taxes."

Will Rogers said that "Yes, that's true, but death doesn't get any worse each time the legislature is in session."

At first I thought this was funny... Then, I realized "How True it is!!"

    Tax his land,
    Tax his wage,
Tax his bed in which he lays.

    Tax his tractor,
    Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes is the rule.

    Tax his cow,
    Tax his goat,
    Tax his pants,
    Tax his coat.

    Tax his ties,
    Tax his shirts,
    Tax his work,
    Tax his dirt.

    Tax his tobacco,
    Tax his drink,
Tax him if he tries to think.

    Tax his booze,
    Tax his beers,
    If he cries,
    Tax his tears.

    Tax his bills,
    Tax his gas,
    Tax his notes,
    Tax his cash.

Tax him good and let him know
That after taxes, he has no dough.

    If he hollers,
    Tax him more,
Tax him til he's good and sore.

    Tax his coffin,
    Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in which he lays.

Put these words upon his tomb,
"Taxes drove me to my doom!"

    And when he's gone,
    We won't relax,
We'll still be after the inheritance TAX!!

  2. This left me speechless and also made me think about everything in the USA that is taxed. I really cant think of one thing that isnt taxed that is involved in my everyday life. Even my gym membership is taxed. just one thing comes to mind, is the soda we buy at a gas station. other than that I can't think of anything else. I think that tax whisle will blow one of these days and there will be a lot of unhappy people when they realize that everything we own or do has a tax involved. I don't beleive state park or NRD stickers are taxed, but I could be wrong.

The soda has a salestax. the park entrance fee is a tax. The founding Fathers have to be spinning in there graves at all the taxes we are paying. I figure over 50% of my pay is going for some type of tax. I all figure over 50% of my jobs have gone over seas or out of the country. At least it feels this was here in Indiana.

In Indiana they tax you for having a dog. Dog tax. But they don't put a tax on a cat. This has always stumped me.

Sad....but true. Like Leonard (regarding our founding fathers)....I'd like all them to come back to life & see what has happened to their country.......
