Tar/Pamlico

    Hit the water @ 6am. Ran up towards Grimesland bridge trying to find some deeper/cooler water. Caught 3 bream for bait and they were in 25ft water just off the bottom near the bridge pilings. Even at that depth they were warm in my hand. I've never felt a "warm" fish...LOL
    Tried it all. Drifting, suspended, floating, deep, shallow nightcrawlers, wigglers, bream live and cut. Nothing!!! It is just too hot in the river right now. Might have a chance at night but I doubt it would be worth the time.
