Anybody fishing Tappan or Clendening lake? Just wondering what the scoop is for the lakes. Going to be there camping Wed thru the weekend so any info will help. Is one lake better than the other? I ehard alot about Clendening being a good catfish lake but have not heard any fishing reports?

Thanks in advance for the info.

Can't tell you much. I have a pontoon at Clendening but it has motor problems at the moment. This has not been a good year there for me so far and I can't say I have heard any better at Tappen. Hope you get lucky. If you try Clendenning let me know.

Tappen is where the state record is from I think. I have fished Clendenning but got blanked that night.

    Tea,

For the record, The state record flat is from Clendening. . . not that this has helped my success any lately.

the odnr website says that flathead fishing is supposed to be fair at clenening and as for channel cats tappan or clendening would be a good choice.
