We (son in law,Jon "Veritok" and I) will be drift fishing from the Dardanelle Dam this friday night. "Ozark Outdoor Adventures" a local cable show may come along to tape a show on drift fishing , so the pressure is on to produce some good fish. Looks like the flow might be just right if the trend continues. Will wear my BOC tee for publicity, dont have a United States shirt yet.

Dennis,
I wish you luck. We drifted below Spadra last Sunday and did NOTHING.
The big blues are still nesting big time. I hope you find them, and by next weekend, I bet you do.
I am hoping to drift in 2 weeks too, so keep us posted.
Yep, barring a Noah type flood, the drift should be perfect.
Good luck
Chris

Smelly, It should be great if weather cooperates with no storms. Friday is the new moon and Thurs. thru Sat. should be great . Spawn should be finishing up. Planning to fish one of those evenings myself. A Lively bream might be the ticket to a good Flatty, and a skippy head & pocket could just get you a PB Blue. On camera! How cool.:glasses-cool: I wish you good luck

Well, the guy from the local cable show couldnt make it this time, so I got him some tape footage he can put on the show if he wants. robably not the best trip for a show anyway, but we managed 3 blues, 5,7,12 lbs. We had trouble netting large shad for the first time ever, but the catfish havnt moved in yet in numbers.

I got there at 8:10 pm and my son arrived at 9. Just missed you Jamie, but did get to say hello to Jon for a few minutes and told him to say Hi to you Dennis. Thought we would run into you sometime during the night, but it didn't happen. We got fishing at 9:30 and at 10:45 my son got a PB blue on a skipjack fillet. A 40 lb male that had us going for 15 minutes. Not another bite all nite till 4 am. The only one I caught all night. A 9.5 lb blue. But after my sons' monster we were fish drunk all night long. We hadn't been fishing together for 18 years, so the trip was a total success. He is gut hooked real good on catfishing & Dardanelle now ! The slow action did not bother us at all. That one fish made the trip. Thanks for all the advice and tips, it paid off big time for us. Especially for my son, Nick. ( Will try to attach pics if I can figure out how.) It was a night of fishing fun & we made memories that will last forever ! Thanks again to all !

Denis, we are planning to go around the new moon in july if the heat isn't outrageous. Look forward to meeting you. The blues should be done spawning and ready to chew the bottom off our boats. I'm ready and Nick is foaming at the mouth!
