I'm headed down to Branson this next weekend and wanted to know if anyone has any info that might be helpful in fishing for the trout down there. I'm gonna rent a boat when I get there so I won't be fishing from the bank. Thanks for any helpful info!!

I'd suggest searching the net for recent fishing reports from Taneycomo (Google for "Taneycomo fishing report") and see if there are any nuggets in there. Then maybe stop in at one or two of the marinas on the lake -- Lilley's Landing, Fall Creek, etc. - and see what they can tell you.

Good luck and let us know how you make out!

I have trout fished at Taneycomo and did pretty good. We drift fished bumping bottom with a worm that we had blown up with a needle and air bottle. We wish you luck. It is a pretty place and fun to fish.

What I found works best for me is just plain old rooster tail spinners, nightcrawlers, or very small spinnerbaits... I have heard that powerbaits work very well too... Good Luck Man!
