Have any of you ever caught a state DNR tagged Channel Cat? About a month ago I was fishing the Gallipolis Pool on the Ohio River. I caught a 21 inch Channel Cat that was tagged by the West Virginia DNR. It read return this tag for reward and had a number and address. I returned the tag and got a letter from the WVDNR with the info on the fish. Also a nice line clipper. He had been released in March 09 and looks like he "Locked Thru" for he had been released the next pool upriver. I was just wondering if other states does this tag studies and if any or you have caught any of the tagged fish?

Gonna get involved in a taggin program for blues on the Potomac. Need a ton of permissions to do it. Also the taggin equipment ain't cheap if ya are gonna do it rite. Caught a tagged striper in my river several years back. Its pretty cool to learn the history of the fish.

Kansas tagged some flatheads 2 or 3 years ago. There is a reward for turning in the tags like you did.
